SQL Server Magazine
This is the magazine for the SQL Server professional. Its
focus is completely SQL Server, with an occasional Visual Basic hint
thrown in for examples. It covers both OLTP and OLAP databases, with
articles on both development and administration. Definitely a
worthwhile read.

Windows 2000 Magazine
Windows 2000 Magazine is a publication for the Windows sysadmin.
It covers Exchange, SQL Server (once in a while), Outlook, and
Windows administration. Though I am not a Windows sysadmin, an
article will periodically be useful to the database administrator,
or just to someone who wants to get the most out of Windows
platforms.

MSDN Magazine
This is the successor to the Microsoft Systems Journal and the
Microsoft Interactive Net Developer (MIND) magazines. I read the
Systems Journal avidly, as this was one of the few magazines
available that focused on the advanced Win32 MFC/C++ developer. Its
articles explained the most sophisticated techniques available to
the Win32 programmer. Since its demise, MSDN Magazine has taken
over, though its focus is on the Visual Basic and net developers.
Perhaps the extremely competent Win32 developer is a thing of the
past... |
